When can I begin Drivers Education?

Students can begin taking the classroom portion of DE at age 14 and 9 months of age and they must be currently enrolled in the 9th grade.

What is your No Show Fee?

Our No Show/late cancelation fee is $25.  Our system will send students a text message reminder of their upcoming appointments.  

What documents do I need to enroll in the Driver's Education Courses?

You will need to bring the original state issued birth certificate.  It cannot be a photocopy and it cannot be a hospital birth certificate.  The Social Security card is also required.  If the parents are divorced, the custody papers are also required.  If there is a court appointed guardian, the guardianship papers are required.   Any parent or guardian signing for a minor will also need to present his/her driver's license or state issued identification card.

What is Driving Done Right's refund policy?

If a refund is requested prior to classes, all monies except for a $25.00 administration fee will be returned.  If a refund is reqested after classes begin, then there will be a pro-rated refund as follows:

first day-------------75% of class fees will be refunded

second day----------50% of class fees will be refunded

third day-------------25% of class fees will be refunded

forth day-------------no fees will be refunded.

When is my teen eligible to begin the driving portion of Driver Education?

Teens must be at least 15 years of age to participate in the driving portion of the Driver's Education Course.

At what age am I eligible to get a LA Instruction Permit?

At the age of 15 once the teen has completed a state required driver's education course the teen is the eligible to go to the Office of Motor Vehicles to obtain a Louisiana Learner's Permit.
